Join the Wilson Library as we celebrate National Voter Registration Day and the Hill with holistic community organizations, food and fun crafts the whole family will enjoy!
The League of Women Voters will be at the Wilson Library to assist adult patrons with voter registration, get more information about National Voter Registration day at https://nationalvoterregistrationday.org/. Other organizations in attendance will be Yale Cancer Center offering free cancer screenings, NICE: The New Haven Inner City Enrichment Center, The New Haven Peace Commission, IRIS: Integrated Refugee and Immigrant Services, Cornell Scott Hill Health Center, The New Haven Livable City Initiative, Read to Grow with FREE books for youth community members, UI and SCG companies, American Job Center and Save the Sound.

The Courtland S. Wilson Library opened in 2006. With the largest footprint among the NHFPL branches, Wilson is a beacon of opportunity and life-long learning in the Hill neighboorhood. Wilson supports literacy with monthly bulk book delivery to school teachers. A youth Lego club, and a newly formed tween and teen computer group meet weekly; and launching in 2019, a youth Girls Who Code Club. Many community groups convene in Wilson’s seven meeting rooms. The Computer Lab hosts groups and offers computer instruction including digital literacy classes in Spanish and weekly free tax preparation during tax season.
