Go deeper into the process of setting up a non-profit with Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Rosalind Zavras.

This is the second of two sessions diving into the basics of non-profit management. In this program, Entrepreneur-in-Residence, Rosalind Zavras will go deeper into the process of setting up a non-profit. Including looking at the fiscal sponsorship model as an easier entry point.

Rosalind 'Roz' Zavras is a non-profit operations expert with over 15 years of experience. She has solved challenges ranging from revamping cash-based accounting systems in East Africa to creating a grant and donor tracking for a city-based community foundation. Roz has created her own practice, Aropa Consulting, for small and growing nonprofits. She has a M.A in Law and Diplomacy and a B.A. in Economics and Mathematics. She spearheaded the creation of the first Racial Equity Committee among the Community Boards of NYC. Roz is also a zero-waste advocate and diversity consultant.

About the branch

The Ives Main Library, designed by renowned architect, Cass Gilbert in 1911, is a cornerstone of the historic New Haven Green. The facility is a community treasure and features unique design details, including several WPA-era murals. Ives is open 54 hours a week, Monday-Saturday, and houses major public service departments for children and teens as well as adult reference, a computer tech center and Ives Squared, a newly renovated space for innovation and entrepreneurship.
