All materials provided for making things movie, in this 2 hour hands-on STEAM workshop for kids and families!

Teaching artist Jay Mankita demonstrates techniques for building Rube Goldberg Machines!  Plan, build, and test each simple part, then put them together to make complicated systems.  Ordinary materials make extraordinary machines! This play-based learning session is great for all ages and abilities.

About the branch

The Donald G. Mitchell Memorial Library was founded in 1910, adopted into the New Haven Free Public Library System in 1922, and opened in its current facility in 1966. Situated on the edge of Beecher Park, Mitchell Library has become a cornerstone of the Westville, Amity, Beaver Hills, Edgewood, and West Rock neighborhoods.
