Students in the course will leave equipped with skills to enrich their pencil and watercolor technique.
Made possible with the support of the City of New Haven
Join us at the Ives Main Library downtown for a special, in-person art program with Kwasi Adae from (New Haven's own) Adae Fine Art Studio on 840 State Street.
Students in these courses will be taught ways to develop their skills in drawing from observation. Students can expect to work in pencil and watercolor. This course will cover the basics of pencil drawing and watercolor painting. Media examples will be available and lessons will center around concepts, techniques, and skills to teach students in honing and expanding their abilities as artists in the 2D plane of operation. Students will also be encouraged to expand their comfort zones and try new things to gain more confidence in their skills as artists. To learn more about the studio, visit: https://bit.ly/3rWjucI
There will be three separate dates - each class is available to 10 adults. This event is 18+. Supplies will be provided.
