Join us for vegetarian market shopping tours and cook along that share information you need to add healthy, environmentally friendly meat-free alternatives to your diet each week. Eating plant-based will be explained by learning from some of the leading chefs, nutritionists, and food artisans in the field to show the variety and deliciousness of eating vegetarian and vegan.

How to assemble, store, cook from a plant based pantry. We will explore way in which ethnic markets provide inexpensive a wide variety of pantry items as well as what to cook with a pantry that supports going meatless.

The Ives Main Library, designed by renowned architect, Cass Gilbert in 1911, is a cornerstone of the historic New Haven Green. The facility is a community treasure and features unique design details, including several WPA-era murals. Ives is open 54 hours a week, Monday-Saturday, and houses major public service departments for children and teens as well as adult reference, a computer tech center and Ives Squared, a newly renovated space for innovation and entrepreneurship.
