Join us for a fun and engaging evening of follow along painting and (non-alcoholic) drinks!
Georgia O'Keeffe was a 20th-century American painter and pioneer of American modernism best known for her canvases depicting flowers, skyscrapers, animal skulls and southwestern landscapes.
The House I Live In by Georgia O'Keeffe is a beautiful example of a study of both her house at Ghost Ranch and the hills and mountains that inspired her so much. In this program, you have the option to paint the house YOU live in, or to follow along with Ives Squared staff member (and artist) Kenzie, as you create your own version this beautiful painting, all the while learning more about Georgia O'Keeffe. When you are done, you can take your finished piece home with you, and then later, go view The House I Live In in person at the Yale Art Gallery.
Make sure to grab a good photo of the place you live if you’d like to paint your own home!
Registration is required for this program. Due to the nature of this program, we request that participants be at least 15 years old. All materials will be provided.
This program is generously sponsored by the Marie Boroff Grant from the Elizabethan Club of Yale University.
