The NEA citywide Big Read theme this year focuses on immigration, migration, and refugees. We’re working with our friends at IRIS to introduce new members of our community. Hossna Samadi is originally from Kabul, Afghanistan. She’ll talk about her experiences in her native country, her family’s life in Connecticut since 2016 and the challenges and successes that newcomers face building life anew.
